Sullivan Construction Completes Renovation for New Ophthalmic Location.
Adaptive Reuse of Former Rite Aid Creates New Medical Office in Exeter.
Exeter, NH — Sullivan Construction, LLC completed the renovation of an approximately 8,000-square-foot former Rite Aid building into the new Ophthalmic medical office located at 71 Portsmouth Avenue in Exeter.
The renovation transformed the existing retail space into a modern ophthalmic practice featuring 14 exam rooms, five testing rooms, a technology station, laboratory, procedure room, optical display area, offices, restrooms, and an ADA-compliant reception and waiting area.
Construction included saw cutting the existing concrete slab to accommodate new underground plumbing and electrical systems, metal framing, firestopping, architectural millwork, and HVAC testing and balancing.
The project team included Sullivan Construction and THA Architects Engineers. Construction began with demolition in February 2026 and was completed in early July 2026.
